SLG Southern was incorporated by Sean Gower.
The business began as a commercial decorating contractor only. We delivered medium-sized commercial projects by a dedicated team of five operatives, building a strong operational reputation.

Unit 10, Warrior Business Centre, was acquired. Upon this acquisition, we resided in just one room at the front office.
Early 2017
We welcomed our first commercial manager who brought extensive knowledge of the industry. Starting his career in the mid 1980s as a cabinet making apprentice, this later evolved into a multi-trade skillset.
Mid 2017
We formally transitioned from decorating-only to a structured multi-trade operation, with additional operatives joining our decorators.
We began converting BTL properties from C3 to C4 dwellings. Over the next 5 years, we completed 15+ fully compliant LET projects, delivering over 75 rooms in accordance with current legislation.

We commenced extensive full void refurbishment services for a long-standing client, strengthening an established working relationship.

Mid 2020
We secured the freehold of our offices at Unit 10, reinforcing our long-term stability and operational foundation.
Our in-house delivery service was introduced to improve coordination and maintain greater control across active sites.
Late 2022
A dedicated waste management service was launched to support an expanding workforce and increasing client demand.
Our office space was expanded, and the warehouse was reconfigured to accommodate a growing in-house team and delivery division.
Mid 2023
A BPSS-certified team was formed, fully compliant in delivering damp and mould reactive works within both the MOD and social housing sectors.
2026
Our team now consists of 30+ multi-trade operatives, including a dedicated waste management division, supported by an in-house office team, overseeing operations, compliance and commercial delivery across the South Coast.
